| DESCRIPTION : The objective of this Area of Concentration is to prepare the student for the care of women patients in any setting. While some of the course will not deal solely with a womans health perspective, they will provide an understanding of a general problem that may affect women in a unique way. Student-initiated projects are encouraged to explore various areas of womens health. Medical Apprenticeship Programs (MAPs) can be in any of a variety of settings such as private offices, public clinics and/or community reporductive health centers. Student-initiated projects and MAPs are encouraged. There are several undergraduate courses that are appropriate, but will not provide elective credit. These can be found in the CWRU undergraduate course catalog. The graduate courses listed below will provide credit in the elective program. |

| TYPE A ELECTIVES |
| At least 2 credits must be obtained from Group 1. Other credits may be selected from Group 2, and approved MAP or an individual project for a total of 4-6 Type A Electives. |
